**Pathanamthitta: **A woman who recently returned from abroad has filed a police complaint in Pathanamthitta alleging that her husband secretly recorded intimate videos of them in the bedroom and later sold the footage to pornographic websites.

> The couple, both natives of Kollam district, had been living separately as the woman was working overseas. According to the complaint, the husband told her he wanted to keep the videos "for personal viewing" and recorded them without any indication that they would be shared or sold.

The woman said she only came to know about the videos after some of her friends saw the clips circulating online and alerted her. Distressed by the revelation, she decided to bring her husband back to Kerala for counseling, hoping to resolve the matter within the family.

However, the situation allegedly turned violent. The woman told police that on the third day of counseling, her husband brutally assaulted her when she insisted on seeking professional help and legal recourse. She sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.

Following the assault, the woman approached the police and submitted a formal complaint. She has also provided supporting evidence, including chat conversations and other digital records, to back her allegations.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities are examining the digital evidence provided by the complainant and are working to identify the websites where the videos were allegedly sold.Officials said the case involves multiple sections related to cybercrime, violation of privacy, and domestic violence. The investigation is ongoing.

Women’s rights activists in the district have called for strict action, noting a rise in cases where private digital content is misused and circulated without consent. The incident has once again raised concerns about online privacy, consent, and the misuse of intimate images in Kerala.
