**Islamabad:** Pakistani TikTok star Shamso Bibi, also identified as Ayesha Gilaman, was shot dead in Taxila on August 14 after two armed men riding a motorcycle allegedly intercepted the car in which she was travelling. The 28-year-old social media personality reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to her neck and died at the scene.

According to the complaint filed by Shamso Bibi’s father, the incident may have been linked to threats arising from a financial dispute. The family alleged that a man identified as Kashif had called Shamso and asked her to come outside shortly before the shooting.

Shamso subsequently left home in a car along with her brother and sister. When they reached an area near a market in Taxila, two men riding a motorcycle reportedly blocked their vehicle and opened fire.

Shamso was struck in the neck during the attack. She suffered critical injuries and died at the spot. During the shooting, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to crash into a truck. Her sister, who was travelling with her, reportedly sustained serious injuries in the crash.

CCTV footage purportedly showing the incident has also surfaced, while police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Shamso had been active on TikTok for around three to four years and had built a substantial following of approximately 1.3 million followers. Her sudden death has shocked her followers and the wider social media community.

In his complaint, Shamso’s father reportedly alleged that two men had been threatening his daughter over repayment of money and expressed suspicion that they could be connected to the killing.

Police have arrested four people in connection with the case. Investigators are now working to establish the exact motive for the shooting and determine the individual roles of those allegedly involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
