Devika was found dead following a train accident in Kamigahara, Japan. According to the information received by her family, the incident occurred at around 10.20 pm Indian time on Wednesday. Devika had travelled to Japan after completing a Laboratory Technician course. She had been working as a nursing assistant at Igalo Chovan Social Welfare Corporation. She had joined the organisation around six months ago under a three-year employment contract.

The family had been deeply worried after Devika went missing from her workplace. Her relatives had approached authorities, including the Chief Minister, seeking assistance in locating her. The family was hoping for her safe return when they received the devastating information that she had been found dead following the train accident.
