The smartphone market has had a disappointing year in 2026, with rising RAM prices pushing phone prices higher. For those looking for capable devices in the affordable segment, here are five smartphones that stand out for their battery life, displays, cameras and overall features.

The Moto G37 Power is an entry-level model in Motorola’s Power series, which is known primarily for its strong battery performance. The phone comes with an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water, while Motorola’s Hello UI offers a good software experience.

Its biggest attraction in the ₹15,000 segment is the combination of camera performance and a powerful 7,000mAh battery. The battery is capable of lasting for more than a day, making the phone an option for users who prioritise endurance.

The Oppo K14x 5G comes with an attractive design and is available in Ice Blue and Prism Violet colour options. The phone also carries an IP64 rating. It features a 6.75-inch HD LCD display and delivers good performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. Its camera is capable of capturing good images in daylight, while battery life is another key attraction.

For users looking for a phone at a very low budget with good battery life, the Tecno Spark Go 3 is an option to consider. Despite its lower price, the device also comes with an IP64 rating. The phone features an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Although it is not particularly suited for heavy gaming, its combination of battery performance and satisfactory camera capabilities makes it a strong deal in the lower-budget segment.

The Poco C85 arrives with a distinctive design and an IP64 rating. One of its biggest highlights is its large 6.9-inch IPS LCD display, making it an option for users who prefer a bigger screen. The phone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS. It offers good daytime camera performance along with long-lasting battery life. The large display is one of its main features for users seeking a more spacious viewing experience.

Although the Samsung Galaxy M17 is slightly older than the other phones on this list, it offers good value. Its price is ₹16,999, which is above the ₹15,000 budget mentioned, but Samsung has equipped the phone with an AMOLED display.

Another major advantage is Samsung’s promise of six years of software updates. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery, and its power-efficient chipset and display help deliver good battery life despite the lower battery capacity compared with some other models. For buyers comparing affordable smartphones in 2026, these five models offer different strengths, from long-lasting batteries and large displays to camera performance and software support.
