Hyderabad: A two-and-a-half-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from a government hospital in Nizamabad, Telangana, after a woman reportedly lured him with chocolate. Following a hours-long investigation, police rescued the child from a bus stand in Daulatabad in Sangareddy district and arrested a couple suspected of being involved in the incident. The child was safely handed over to his family on Sunday evening.

According to the information provided, the incident took place on the morning of September 5 at a hospital meant for mothers and children. At around 10.30 am, the two-and-a-half-year-old boy was standing in a hospital corridor with his elder brother when an unidentified woman approached them.

The woman allegedly offered the child chocolate and asked him to come along with her. The elder brother informed their parents about the incident. By the time the family began searching for the child, the woman had already left the hospital premises with him.

The child was rescued during the investigation and was handed over safely to his family on Sunday evening.
