The summit will be held on September 12 and 13 at Bharat Mandapam under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The heightened security measures have been put in place considering the visit of heads of state and prominent delegations from across the world.

Security has been significantly increased around major hotels where foreign heads of state and other prominent delegates will stay. Chinese and Russian teams responsible for the security of their respective leaders have already arrived in Delhi.
