KOZHIKODE: A 22-year-old man was taken into custody by Medical College Police after allegedly attempting to record visuals on a mobile phone inside a washroom at the Medical College Super Specialty Hospital in Kozhikode. According to the police, the incident occurred at around 2 p.m. in Ward No. 203 of the hospital.

Police said the young man allegedly attempted to record visuals of an adjacent washroom by holding the mobile phone above the washroom used commonly by both women and men. The circumstances surrounding the alleged attempt are currently being examined by the police.

The 22-year-old had reportedly come to the hospital to accompany his ailing father. At the time of the incident, a woman who was accompanying another patient was inside the washroom. She noticed the mobile phone and, after seeing it, alerted others about what had happened.

Following the information, Medical College Police reached the spot and took the young man into custody.
