THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has carried out a major reshuffle at the top level of the Indian Administrative Service , transferring 36 civil service officers. As part of the changes, a new ex-cadre post of Additional District Magistrate has also been created at Sabarimala.

Three district collectors have been transferred as part of the reshuffle. Anu Kumari has been shifted from the post of Thiruvananthapuram District Collector and appointed as Special Commissioner of GST. Anju K S, who was serving as the Director of State Lotteries, has been appointed as the new Thiruvananthapuram District Collector.

Anju K S has also been given the additional responsibility of Chairperson of the Monitoring Committee tasked with addressing rehabilitation issues related to the Vizhinjam port project.

Kasaragod District Collector Arjun Pandyan has been transferred and appointed as Director of the Agriculture Department. He has also been given additional responsibilities as Additional Project Director of KERA, Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Director of Cooperative Audit.

Food Safety Commissioner Sridhnya Suresh has been appointed as the new Kasaragod District Collector.Fisheries Department Director Chelsea Sini has been transferred and appointed as the Wayanad District Collector.

The reshuffle also includes changes in senior departmental responsibilities. Sreeram Venkitaraman, who was serving as Director of the Agriculture Department, has been appointed Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty in the Forest and Wildlife Department. He has also been given full additional charge of the Joint Secretary in the Labour and Skills and Cashew Development Department.

Health Department Additional Secretary Dr. Renu Raj has been given full additional charge as State Mission Director of the National Health Mission. She has also been assigned additional responsibilities as Director of the e-Health Project and Managing Director of the State Health Agency.

Dr. Renu Raj has been relieved of her responsibilities as Managing Director of the Kerala Medical Services Corporation and the Kerala Health Research and Welfare Society.

The changes form part of the state's wider IAS-level administrative reshuffle involving 36 civil service officers, along with the creation of the new ex-cadre Additional District Magistrate post at Sabarimala.
