IBPS has invited applications for the common recruitment of Group B Office Assistants for rural banks in various states. The recruitment includes vacancies in General Banking, IT, Chartered Accountancy, Law, Treasury, Marketing and Agriculture categories under Officer Scale II. Candidates must have proficiency in the relevant regional language. Applications can be submitted until September 21.

In Kerala Gramin Bank, there are 350 vacancies for Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The vacancies include 182 for the General category, 94 for OBC Non-Creamy Layer, 35 for EWS, 35 for SC and four for ST. Specified vacancies are also reserved for persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories.

Under Officer Scale I, there are 55 vacancies. The vacancies listed under Scale II include 12 General Banking Officer posts, two CA posts, three Law Officer posts and two Treasury Manager posts. There are also 11 vacancies under the Scale I Officer category.

For Office Assistant posts, candidates must hold a degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Proficiency in the regional language is required, while working knowledge of computers is desirable.

For Officer Scale I/Assistant Manager, candidates must have a degree in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, IT, Management, Economics and Accountancy. Regional language proficiency is required, while computer working knowledge is desirable.

For Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer/Manager), candidates must have a degree with at least 50 per cent marks. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in the subjects mentioned above. Two years of experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution is required.

For Officer Scale II Specialist Officer (Manager) – IT, candidates must have a degree with at least 50 per cent marks in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science or IT. Certificates in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC and OCP are desirable, along with one year of experience in the relevant field.

For CA, candidates must possess the CA professional qualification and have one year of experience as a Chartered Accountant. A Law Officer must have a recognised law degree with at least 50 per cent marks and two years of experience as an advocate or Law Officer. A Treasury Manager must have CA or MBA Finance qualification and one year of relevant experience.

A Marketing Officer must have an MBA in Marketing and one year of experience. An Agriculture Officer must hold a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science or Agricultural Engineering, along with two years of work experience.

For Officer Scale III/Senior Manager, candidates must have a degree in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks and five years of experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

Statutory relaxations are available for SC, ST, OBC-NCC, ex-servicemen, widows and legally separated persons who have not remarried, among other eligible categories.
