**New Delhi: **Air India pilot Captain Sunny Asaldekar, a native of Mumbai, was found unconscious in a hotel room in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, where he was staying as part of a layover, and was later declared dead at a hospital. Asaldekar had checked into the hotel on September 10. According to the available information, his brother tried to contact him by phone the following day but received no response. The brother subsequently informed the hotel manager about the situation.

The hotel manager went to the room and found that the door was locked from the inside. After opening the door with a master key, the manager found the pilot in an unconscious state. The information was then passed on to the police.
