**Kannur:** Prices of 60 food items sold at railway stations have been increased, with the revised rates coming into effect from Friday. The price hike covers breakfast items, meals and snacks, while dip tea and coffee will continue to be available for ₹10. Pazhampori has also escaped the increase and will continue to cost ₹20.

Under the revised rates, two idlis with chutney will now cost ₹25, compared with the earlier price of ₹20. The price of masala dosa has been increased from ₹25 to ₹30. Two samosas will cost ₹30, while the price of a vegetable sandwich has gone up from ₹30 to ₹35.

Two vegetable cutlets will now cost ₹50, against the earlier price of ₹40. Rava dosa and rava idli have also become costlier by ₹5 each and will now be priced at ₹30 and ₹25, respectively.

The price of rice with fish curry has increased from ₹95 to ₹110. Two parottas with curry or four chapatis with curry will now cost ₹55, an increase of ₹10. However, the price of a single chapati will remain at ₹5, while one parotta will continue to cost ₹10.

The prices of madu vada, masala vada and two samosas have increased from ₹25 to ₹30. Two idiyappams will cost ₹20, while kadala curry will be available for ₹45.

Among other food items, 200 grams of chicken fried rice will cost ₹105, while 200 grams of egg fried rice will be priced at ₹80. The price of 200 grams of vegetable fried rice has been fixed at ₹65.

Chilli chicken will cost ₹125 for 100 grams under the revised rates. Despite the increase across several food categories, dip tea, coffee and pazhampori will continue at their existing prices.
