**Kochi: **Kerala theatres are witnessing a major clash between Prathama Drishtya Kuttakkar, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu in a powerful police role, and Aasha, featuring Urvashi in a complex and challenging character. Both films have been receiving strong reports, leaving audiences with a choice between two prominent performances. Parvathy and Urvashi had previously appeared together in the 2024 film Ullozhukku, directed by Christo Tomy, where their performances received considerable critical appreciation.

This year, the two actors have once again reached audiences through different films featuring strong characters. Prathama Drishtya Kuttakkar, in which Parvathy plays a police officer, was released in theatres on the 11th of this month. The film is produced by Arjun Selva under the banner of 11 Icons and is directed by Shahad. It is Shahad’s directorial venture after Prakashan Parakkatte and Anuragam. The film also marks Parvathy’s first police role after 20 years in cinema.
