Kozhikode: CPI Politburo member and Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan alleged that the UDF government is implementing an RSS agenda in Kerala. He said Kerala was witnessing a situation in which the government was submitting to what he described as the RSS agenda in matters including the Waqf Board, PM SHRI and the appointment of vice-chancellors.

Pinarayi Vijayan said the government was taking steps to transform Kerala, which he described as a land of secularism, in favour of communalism. He said it was essential for the CPI(M) to gain greater strength to raise a strong position against communalism and reactionary politics.

He also said the CPI(M) must achieve growth and progress in accordance with the special characteristics of the present period. According to Pinarayi Vijayan, this was one of the key issues seriously discussed by the extended state committee meeting held in Kozhikode for three days.

He expressed the expectation that the discussions and decisions of the extended state committee would provide the party with a new level of energy. As part of this effort, he urged people from all sections of society to support the party with greater strength.
