The stolen consignment consisted of 12,000 packets of Hans packed in seven sacks. According to the investigation, CCTV footage from the police station shows Sabith allegedly taking the sacks containing Hans from the station. He reportedly arrived at the station in his car and removed the sacks during the night, when only the personnel on night duty were present.Sabith was arrested from Kalamassery in Ernakulam. Investigating officers said he would be brought to Wayanad, after which evidence collection and other investigation procedures would be carried out.The seized Hans had originally been recovered during a joint operation by the Bathery police and the district anti-narcotics squad. On June 7, the teams seized seven sacks of Hans and 1,800 packets of Cool Lip from a warehouse belonging to Isahak at Moorkanparamba in Dottappankulam, Bathery.
