Friendship Allegedly Began Amid Financial Difficulties According to the complaint, the woman, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, became actively involved in the activities of the organisation headed by the Alappuzha native as its secretary in July last year. She is a mother of two children and the sole support of her family, and was reportedly facing severe financial liabilities at the time. The woman alleged that the Alappuzha native used this situation to establish a friendship with her. She said he gained her trust by assuring her that he would help clear her bank loans, secure her children's future and marry her and take her along with him. The woman alleged that whenever she asked the Alappuzha native to fulfil his promises concerning her bank loans and marriage, he kept postponing the matter, saying that he would take a decision only after his daughter's marriage, which was scheduled for December 2025. However, according to the complaint, he allegedly began avoiding her even after his daughter's marriage. The woman said that when she went to his business establishment in Dubai's Qusais area to seek an explanation, he allegedly spoke harshly to her, insulted her, asked her to leave and threatened her. She further stated in the complaint that she later learned that two other female employees at the establishment had also allegedly faced visa-related fraud and mental harassment. The woman said she approached senior office-bearers of the organisation and a prominent businessman who is a relative of the Alappuzha native to report the matter. However, she alleged that they behaved improperly towards her and insulted her. She further alleged that the Alappuzha native attempted to damage her reputation by spreading sexually suggestive and false stories about her among expatriate organisations in the UAE and in her hometown. After returning to Dubai on August 5, the woman said she tried to contact the Alappuzha native by phone, but his mobile phone was switched off.
