Kochi Police will submit a report to the Enforcement Directorate on Monday in connection with the case involving Parvathy Maya Shaji, Managing Director of Amster Overseas Private Limited, who was arrested in an alleged overseas job scam involving crores of rupees. According to the police, the report will include details of the money allegedly transferred abroad by the accused. Police are also preparing to issue lookout notices soon to trace other accused persons in the case, including Parvathy’s partner, Aneesh Menon, who is reportedly abroad.

Following news of Parvathy Maya Shaji’s arrest, more people approached the police with complaints in connection with the case. The court is also scheduled to deliver its verdict on Parvathy Maya Shaji’s bail application on Monday.

According to the complaints, the accused allegedly collected lakhs of rupees from job seekers by promising high-paying employment opportunities in countries including Poland, Armenia and Canada. A significant portion of the money allegedly collected through the suspected fraud was received through foreign bank accounts. Similar cases have also been registered against the accused in other districts.

Police further state that Amster Overseas, located near Changampuzha Park in Edappally, and Amster Immigration Overseas in Palarivattom did not have licences to conduct foreign recruitment activities. According to the police, the alleged fraud had been carried out through social media since 2023.

The accused’s social media reels, featuring luxury cars including Rolls-Royce vehicles, along with expensive jewellery and clothing, had reportedly gone viral. There are also complaints alleging that Parvathy and her associates threatened candidates who sought the return of their money.Police are continuing efforts to trace the other accused persons and gather details concerning the money allegedly transferred abroad.
